Today’s apple slice comes from Philippians 1:6 in the ESV version.

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

The awesome thing about Christ is that He doesn’t give up on us. It doesn’t matter where you’ve been, where I’ve been. He still sees us through love-filtered eyes. He sees us through grace and mercy.

He walks with us where we are and to wherever we are going. That’s encouraging to me. Sometimes I don’t like the person I’m being at the moment or I don’t like the path I’m walking. It’s then I must remember that He isn’t done with me. He isn’t gonna leave me where I’m stranded. Just like the amazing Father that He is, He will pick me (and you) up, wipe the dirt off of us, and place us back where we need to be.

God began a good work in us before we were even born. He knows us by our very name. He knows us to our very cores. He will not give up on us There’s a song by Jesus Culture called “You Won’t Relent.” There’s a line that says, “You won’t relent until you have it all.” I love that. He won’t relent. His love for us and His pursuit of us is unrelentless and unyielding.
