“I Told Myself I Wouldn’t Cry”

Have you ever been having a bad day, week, month, even a bad year? Sometimes it happens. All you want is to make it through a class period or through a meeting or whatever without having to pull out a Kleenex. I’ve been there. It’s rough. The brain doesn’t stop thinking about whatever is eating at you just because now is not the time to ruin your make up. Well, I ran across this awesome tip today featured on a Yahoo article. An effective method of holding back tears is simply clearing your throat which causes you to swallow. I will definitely keep this in mind in the future to prevent embarrassing breakdowns!

Then again, crying can be very cleansing. Just maybe not in front of an “audience”…
